Social Justice & Peacemaking
The objective of the Social Justice and Peacemaking Ministering Unit is to involve the
congregation in carrying out the General Assembly's call for peacemaking and to promote
social justice in the community. Major activities include sponsoring forums on significant
social justice issues; maintaining an advocacy role on social justice and peace issues with
government officials; participating in city-wide events such as the Third Street Bridge
gathering and other peacemaking activities at the local and denominational church levels.
You are welcome to join the unit as they meet the second Wednesday of each month at
7:30PM in the main conference room.
